  • Abstract
    TUNNETT diodes are low-noise oscillators based on transit-time delay on tunneling injection of electrons. We have fabricated TUNNETTs and demonstrated as continuous millimeter-wave fundamental-mode generator in the frequency range from 50 to 700 GHz. Some micro-analytical applications for biological materials by measuring the reflection of millimeter-wave from the specimen have been demonstrated using TUNNETT. The detection revels of the amount of specimen reached to nanomole levels.
