Abstract
In this paper the second order parametric mixing of KCl crystals containing FA centers is examined using standard perturbation theory. The real and imaginary parts of the nonlinear susceptibility are evaluated over a wide spectral range. Numerical calculations reveal that sum-frequency generation should be feasible with large magnitudes of susceptibilities for several frequency combinations.
