Abstract
This paper addresses the design of tunable bandpass filters using MEMS (micro-electro- mechanical-systems) technology for millimeter wave applications. In order to design tunable bandpass filters an innovative and versatile topology is proposed. This topology is based on the integration of the RF-MEMS switches within a bandpass structure using series stubs. The presented results validate the proposed topology and the design methodology. The tunable behavior is achieved using RF-MEMS switches. These switches, based on original topology of two cantilever shunt switch (TCSS), have a typical shunt switch behavior and intrinsic low actuation voltage.
