Abstract
This paper presents a four-aperture antenna with flare plates radiating omnidirectional beam for wireless local area network system with point-to-multipoint applications. The antenna simulation is carried out by using CST Microwave Studio program. The prototype antenna was fabricated to operate at 2.45 GHz. The impedance bandwidth (1.5:1 VSWR) is 93.06% (2.26-4.54 GHz). The half-power beamwidth is 40 degree in E-plane. The maximum gain is about 4 dBi from the measurement. The azimuth ripple is less than 3 dB. The cross polarization greater than 20 dB has been obtained.
