Abstract :
The measurement of shielding effectiveness of coaxial cables is often limited by the dynamic range of the measurement system. This paper presents a new test procedure for measuring the shielding effectiveness (SE) of shielded coaxial cables. The TEH modified measurement cell with an asymmetrically placed conductor and the proposed form of the cell establish in the zone, where the cable for testing is placed, a quasi-uniform field. Moreover, the method operates over a broad frequency range with high accuracy.
