Abstract
The paper presents two planar elliptical antennas for use in ultra-wideband radiocommunication systems: microstrip and stripline antennas. Design procedure of UWB antennas was described. Results of computer simulation and measurements are shown and discussed. Radiation of UWB signals by both antennas was analyzed. A new parameter - UWB antenna transmittance was introduced and used for analysis of signals emitted by antennas.
