Abstract :
An alternative method of analysis of elliptical post is presented. The method is based on a combination of elliptical and cylindrical coordinate systems. Proposed technique concerns single object only, however it can be easily extended to analysis of any set of the obstacles. To show the validity of the method three different kinds of resonators were examined. The results show a good agreement with analytical technique and FDFD (finite-difference frequency-domain) method.
