Abstract
The engineering design, calculations, and computer simulations for the High-Voltage generator (HVG) intended for the production of microsecond output voltage pulses of rectangular form at a high repetition rate are presented. The electric circuit of the HVG is based on employing the magnetic pulse generator (MPG) consisting of capacitors, saturation-core chokes and transformers with ferromagnetic cores. It is suggested to use the original concept [1], the implementation of the successive discharge of several magnetic pulse generator lines through the multiturn primary winding of the high-voltage transformer (HVT). In order to maintain a high voltage rise rate at the HVT, the secondary winding should also have several turns.
