Abstract
The aggregation of fuzzy opinions is an important component of group decision analysis with fuzzy information. In this paper, a minimax disparity method for the assessment of the weights to be associated with fuzzy opinions is proposed. The proposed approach generates the weights by minimizing the maximum the difference of any two adjacent individual weighted fuzzy opinions and the difference of individual weighted fuzzy opinion and the weighted mean value, which is called the possibilistic mean value minimax difference method (MVMDM). Three numerical examples are provided to illustrate the application of the proposed approach in aggregating fuzzy opinions in a simple and effective way.
