Abstract :
On the basis of introducing sum of squares (SOS) optimization method and its classical control application, this paper introduces the estimation of domain of attraction of autonomous nonlinear systems which can be considered as a new development of sum of squares optimization in control application. At the same time, we study the domain of attraction of a class of SIRS infection model, and get the result of domains of attraction of a SIRS model with the SOSTOOL toolbox. It is bigger than the domain of attraction using the randomly selected Lyapunov function of the LMI approach.
