Abstract
Fuzziness and randomness are two key aspects of uncertainty. During decision making process, it is a normal situation that fuzzy and random variables appear simultaneously. Fuzzy random multi-attribute decision making (FRMADM) is to select the best alternative or rank alternatives among limited feasible alternatives, under fuzzy and random conditions. Because of its wide existing in our real life, the research for the method of FRMADM has a deep meaning. In this paper, the concept of fuzzy random variable is introduced. Besides, the calculating steps for expected value of fuzzy random variable are discussed. Using a detailed case study, the method based on fuzzy and random simulation for FRMADM is analyzed. The research result gives a powerful tool for decision makers when they face FRMADM problem.
