Abstract :
The dynamic cognition or spatio-temporal simulation to geo-objects (geo-spatial objects) or phenomena´ is always one of the principal difficulties owing to their dynamic complexity. To solve it to a certain extent, a new mechanism based on Geo-AO is proposed in this paper. First, the popular methods of geo-simulation are analysed and some existing problems are also summarized briefly. Then, geo-cognition consistent model - Geo-AO is described and human-environment relationships are mapped to Geo-AO2Geo-AO dualistic conceptual mode. Based on the new cognition models, a series of key processes, such as Geo-ontology analysis and construction, Geo-agent identification and construction, and their semantic integration to GIS, are proceeded to do subsequently. In this way, a dynamic geo-simulation or modeling mode is shaped up. Finally, combining with the research of HIV/AIDS transmission mechanism, a prototype is being designed and tested. The research practice shows that the Geo-AO spatial cognition mode is logical, and the Geo-AO method of complex geo-object or process modeling and simulation is a feasible way.
