Abstract
The Software Assurance (SwA) Competency Model provides a foundation for assessing and advancing software security professionals´ capability. A span of competency levels and their decomposition into competencies, based on the knowledge and skills in the SwA Core Body of Knowledge, enable organizations or individuals to determine SwA competency. Organizations can also adapt the model´s features to their domain, culture, or structure.
