A Method for Document Retrieval at Concept Level

It is a problem to retrieve highly meaningful documents from a collection of documents. At present, full-text searching techniques are widely used for document retrieval. However, these techniques are not sufficient for concept-level searching since full-text searching methods are usually on the basis of word or phrase matching and a concept is not simply a word or phrase. In this paper, a method for document retrieval is proposed. Some ideas of knowledge management technologies are introduced to this method to enhance the ability of document retrieval at concept level.
