Abstract :
The emerging sensor grid that combines WSN (wireless sensor networks) with Grid provides a new way for high energy physics to improve the performance of radiation detection system. In this paper, WSN are utilized to automatically detect the radiation status with high resolution in real-time so as to reduce the radical risk of physicists to the least degree. Further, Grid is combined organically to store and process the vast amount radiation data produced by the WSN. A sensor grid architecture is suggested according to the feature of high energy physics environment. This solution will surely accelerate the renovation of traditional radiation system in high energy physics and consequently enhance the radiation protection level for high energy physicists.
