Abstract :
In this paper, we present a new error concealment scheme for I-frames by exploiting temporal correlations between successive frames. Unlike previous approaches, where only the information in the current frame is utilized, the new approach applies the temporal error concealment approach before considering spatial error concealment. An improved Directional Error Concealment approach that can overcome the existing problems is proposed in this paper.
