Abstract :
A CBR approach is presented to determine cutting parameters and machining solutions and the way of establishing corresponding case databases is discussed. Based on grey-relational theory and fuzzy-set theory an algorithm for calculating the similarity degree and a case retrieval method are put forward. Thus, similar cases can be found out efficiently and the cases-match precision can be increased greatly. Lastly, the Opening Application Architecture (OAA) for development of this kind of systems is presented with more flexibility for its scalability.
