Abstract :
We introduce the concept of structural analysis of a business enterprise. It is a simple notion of showing the user different (but related) views of an enterprise: who does what, where and how. Utilizing an approach similar to on-line analytical processing (OLAP), structural analysis provides an interactive, analytical environment for a user to view the different entities in an enterprise in many ways. We illustrate our main ideas using a hypothetical example of a coffee shop and discuss some potential applications.
