Abstract :
It is important to define suitable indexes when optimizing a database. Usually, index is defined in the design phase of the database, and there is no guarantee for these indexes to match the future demands, especially in XML database. A new way to optimize index automatically based on the characteristic of XML document, combined with the ISP principium automaticity optimization KeyX index has been presented in this paper. Experiment results show that the index can be optimized real-timely, so as to guarantee the XML database run continually and efficiently.
