Abstract :
As most web pages are designed for desktop PCs, it is extremely challenging to browse these large pages on a mobile handheld device with small screen and limited user interface. A customizable web data extraction scheme is proposed for the mobile users who have constant web surfing hobby. By statistical analyzing user behavior habit or user customization request, an original web page is blocked, tailed and reconstructed step by step. Referring to mobile web 2.0, AJAX code, which takes responsibility for collecting and reporting terminal user behavior date, is created and inserted into original web page automatically without being perceived. Using this mode, mobile users can enjoy personal web experience, and limited wireless bandwidth is saved. Moreover, a set of experiments have been implemented to verify the scheme and show its values in both practical and economical viewpoints.
