Abstract :
Printing press is one kind of complex mechatronic system. Based on analysing traditional design methodology of printing press, this paper presents a methodology of virtual prototyping. This method based on a integrity virtual prototyping system which includes geometry modelling module, kinematics analysis module, dynamics analysis module, stress finite element analysis module and etc.. Data transmitting and communicating between the modules is studied. Dynamic model of off-on press device of printing press is set up, and its kinematics and dynamics is analysed, Improvement advice is given according to the analysis result. After that a new virtual prototyping is rebuilt, and an analysis is made again. The result shows that its dynamic parameter performance is better than that of the initial mechanism. The result contributes to directing printing press design.
