  • Abstract
    The paper presented applying X3D technologies for realizing the parameterized customization of customized products. X3D mapping methods, X3D dynamic generating methods, and the methods for information exchanging between X3D and CAD with XML, key technologies for X3D based individual product customizing were study. Data using in product customizing was analysis and a space data model was established. In order to verify theory study a prototype system of air cylinder products individualized customization base on X3D was designed. The system architecture and process of customizing was introduced. Results of study show that the application of X3D technology can realize parameterized customization. It can make the customer has more right take part in the process of individualized customization. Works provide a new operable method for parameterized customization of products.
