Abstract :
In the accurate grinding control system, it is necessary testing various statuses of the grinding wheel and workpiece exactly and automatically in time. To improve the quality of grinding, and meet further demand of efficient and automatic grinding, the research of on-line testing method with high degree of precision is important[1]. When the grinding contacts with the workpiece during the accurate grinding, the friction of the sand grain and the workpiece, and the flaking of metal plastic deformation bring strong sound signal. According to the transmitting approach of sound information flow, and a mass of grinding status information characteristic in sound signal, the corresponding relation of the signal time-domain structure, frequency-domain structure and the contact status of the grinding wheel and workpiece, the surface pattern of the grinding wheel, the working status during grinding, the solid state acoustic-SSA testing is put forward. The SSA analog signals are passed to the monitoring center through GSM system in order to decide the grinding status. This paper discusses the general design project and composition of the system, analyses the effect factors of SSA during accurate grinding. The experimental results show that the information flow reflecting the accurate grinding procedure and grinding quality can be gotten exactly when this method is used to monitor the running status. It has better reliability and effectivity.
