Summary form only given. This event will be kicked off by experts on the subject: Dr. Barbara van Balen is a gender specialist and will give a presentation on EU Gender policy. Prof. Linda Katehi is engaged in the Program of Gender and Women Studies at the University of Illinois. She also holds a chair in electrical and computer engineering. She will address the importance of diversity in the profession. Prof. Jenny Dankelman holds a chair in Biomechanical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology and was the first female scientist in mechanical engineering in 1984. She will share her experiences in making a scientific career in an man??s world. After an hour the attendees will move to the RAI Amsterdam Cafe for discussions, networking, and drinks. The event is sponsored by STW and is open to men and women.
