Abstract :
Cloth simulation is an important research area in computer graphics worldwide at present, and the study, which processes surface intersection during the course of cloth collision, is a difficulty in cloth simulation. We present a global optimization algorithm close to the reality and minimizing intersection contour lines, in order to improve authenticity of the results of cloth surface intersection processing of the cloth simulation. This algorithm, which is based on pre-time process of the construction of the model of cloth, the collision detection and later process of the collision response, disposes emphatically the situation of cloth surface intersection, using the method globally minimizing intersection contour lines, and also evaluates and optimizes the results of processing. Experimental results show that this method is superior to previous researches in two aspects: the simulation authenticity and real-time, and can increase verisimilitude of the production in the domain of cloth animation.
