Abstract :
This paper presents a new method for 3D magnetic field calculation suitable for permanent magnet which has no free current and can be treated as irrotationality. The divergence of the remanent magnetization of the Halbach PM array is introduced to help calculate magnetic scalar potential and consequent H and B. Practical calculations of 3D magnetic field comparing with ANSYS analytical results indicate that the method is accurate, efficient and universal.
