Abstract :
Magnetorheological(MR) fluid is regarded as a new smart material developed during these years. It can be transformed from the Newton fluid into the viscoplastic solid with finite yield shear stress within millisecond when a magnetic field is applied, and the transformation is controllable, continual and reversible. Therefore, it can be used in many fields. As a new technique, much work is needed to theoretically study its principle and application. In this paper, magnetorheological fluid technology is applied in accelerometers, the structure of cantilever is designed, and the effect of the cantilever structure on accelerometers is analyzed. Its working principle is analyzed too. The functions of the MR accelerometer are deduced, the functions of the MR accelerometer are deduced and the modeling and simulation analysis of the whole control system are given by using MATLAB/Simulink, the result is in accord with the expected.
