Abstract
This paper describes the design method of the pulse generation circuit based on reversely switched dynistor (RSD) with certain requirement for the output parameters. The main circuit parameters are selected by the output pulse. The size and number in series of the RSD switches are confirmed by the current and voltage capability. The triggering circuit parameters are selected by the triggering electric charge amount. The parameters of the magnetic switch are confirmed by the main voltage. The discharge circuit of 8 kV/120 kA is designed. The peak current of 132.2 kA with the pulse width of 330 mus is acquired successfully in experiment.
