Abstract :
This paper presents the analysis and loss evaluation of the hard-switching and soft-switching inverters in the three-phase uninterrupted power supply (UPS). Both two-level and three-level hard-switching inverters and the chosen soft-switching inverters are designed to evaluate the loss and the efficiency. Tests of the influence of IGBT collector-emitter paralleled capacitor on IGBT turn-off loss through an experimental test-bench are also presented.
