Abstract :
In a three-phase PWM voltage-source inverter, there have voltage losses that cannot be neglected between the reference voltage and the actual output voltage due to the dead time effect. The distortion of voltage leads to serious problems such as current waveform distortion and torque oscillation of motor driving systems. In this paper, an improved method which effective reduces the losses of voltage and the distortion of current is presented. This method is based on SVPWM strategy and it can be implemented by software without any extra hardware. The dead-time compensation principle is explained in detail and the result of experiment based DSP TMS320F240 verified that this method is simple to be carried out; harmonics in output current waveform are reduced obviously.
