Abstract :
A novel arbitrary waveform power amplifier based on switch-linear hybrid (SLH) technology is proposed in this paper. The proposed amplifier utilizes a source follower to achieve excellent output waveforms quality while a switch-mode tracking power supply is employed to obtain high system efficiency. The steady and dynamic performances of the proposed amplifier optimized by the low system output impedance are analyzed. Experimental results verify the validity of the SLH arbitrary waveform power amplifier.
