Abstract :
This paper investigates feasible topologies of VSC-HVDC system for interconnecting large-scale off-shore wind farms. The corresponding control strategy is developed for coordination and control of the corresponding VSC-HVDC systems. A case of 5-terminal VSC-HVDC system is developed in MATLAB/ SIMULINK to demonstrate the validity of the proposed scheme. The proposed scheme may enable optimal integration of highly distributed large-scale offshore wind farms.
