  • Abstract
    Based on the key technologies analyses of high-speed high-power-density electric machines and low-speed high-torque-density electric machines, the common scientific problem is extracted from the study of large and medium power electromechanical energy conversion devices under extreme operating conditions. The common scientific problem is how to make full use of physical properties of electromagnetic materials. To solve above scientific problems, two major techniques, fine modeling on electromagnetic (EM) material properties and precise design of electric machines, are proposed and thoroughly studied. The research fields range from the effect of multi-factors, such as magnetic field, frequency, temperature and stress, on the EM materials to the analysis of EM field, temperature field, mechanical property and multi-physics field coupled technology, which refers to many disciplines including electrical engineering, engineering thermal physics, engineering mechanics, computer technology, and so on. The extraction of scientific problems provides a theoretical guidance for research on key technologies of large and medium power electromechanical energy conversion devices under extreme operating conditions.
