Abstract :
In this paper, a novel concept of repulsion velocity is adapted to original PSO. The concept of repulsive velocity is originated from the behavior to keep out of area which has low fitness. Proposed technique shows more improved convergence and reduces the number of function call compared to original PSO. The validness of the proposed algorithm is verified by an application to a test function.
