Abstract :
The magnetic circuit of switched reluctance motor (SRM) is seriously nonlinear because certain parts of the stator and rotor may go into magnetic saturation and the mutual inductance will be large when the motor works at two-phase excitation. These factors make the control of winds current very difficult. This paper analyzed the inductance of 8/6 SRMs including mutual inductance. Then a novel current control method of SRMs based on iterative learning control (ILC) is presented with a feedback iterative learning controller. The period of the sample points is based on the rotor position, not on the time in traditional method. Through iterative learning, the duty of PWM is adjusted by the inductance at different rotor positions to optimize phase current waveform. The results of experiment proved that this method could make actual current follow given current effectively.
