Abstract :
Hybrid Excitation Synchronous Generator (HESG) is of wide use value generator because of its breaking through of the uncontrolled output voltage bottleneck in PMSG and its getting rid of the dependence of controlled rectifier on operation condition and load category. A new type HESG with Permanent Magnet and excitation field parallel working is developed. Also its structure characteristics and operation principles are described. And also the calculation of 3D magnetic field of the HSEG is carried out by using Finite Element Method. Both the theory analysis and the experiments prove that its structure is rational, the flux regulation performance is effective and the stable control on terminal voltage can be realized. All the efforts are a great valuable guide to the farther researches on HESG.
