Abstract :
In the design of precise linear moving system, the electromagnetic force fluctuation must be controlled strictly to avoid damage to the load. This paper analyzes the cogging force of tubular linear permanent magnet motor, and presents methods to reduce it. The end component cogging force, which is the special character of linear motor, is reduced by optimizing the mover length. This method is verified by experimental tests.
