Abstract
Aiming at the detection of harmonic and reactive currents in single-phase power systems, a new method is proposed in this paper. It can detect the fundamental active currents and then compensate harmonic and reactive currents in the load currents accurately. Simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, which does not use the phase lock loop (PLL), and overcomes the influence of the frequency fluctuations. As a simple and reliable method, it is easy for hardware implementation. In addition, the impact of the low pass filter (LPF) is presented in this paper.
