  • Abstract
The key technology of variable-speed constant-frequency (VSCF) wind generation is getting the maximum power by adjusting the rotor speed of the induction generator according to the variable wind speed. Wind turbine systems have strong nonlinear multivariable with many uncertain factors and disturbances. Based on the prototype of Wind Electricity Conversion System (WECS), a new Maximum Power Point Tracking control strategy for variable speed constant frequency wind generation system has been developed in this paper which is realized by self-adaptive controller. A experiment platform of a 7.5 kW laboratory variable speed constant frequency wind generation system. controlled by TMS320LF2407A and TMS320VC33 was developed. Experimental results show that WECS can operate at the expected points in the wide range of wind velocities and realize the control of maximum power point tracking very well.
