Abstract :
In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of a new type of control and protective switching devices (CPS) are analyzed by means of Ansoft Maxwell 2D transient solver. The relationship of the breaking velocity and resetting time during switch on/off to the counterforce, the coil diameter as well as the number of windings are simulated and calculated. The results of transient analysis can be used for the optimum design of this type of CPS so as to better meet the demands on saving energy, long operational life and small volume for low voltage apparatus.
