Abstract :
We proposed PON architecture for local area network and dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm (DBA) for LAN traffic. We present the system implementation (called LAN-PON) as well as the performance of the proposed transmission scheme to illustrate its feasibility and benefits. From the simulation result, we have confirmed that our proposed system applying DBA algorithm can improve throughput and reduce the queuing delay in comparison to that of conventional system.
