Abstract
This study proposes a prediction-based fair wavelength and bandwidth allocation (PFWBA) scheme to enhance the differentiated services for WDM-EPON. The proposed PFWBA scheme is based on the dynamic wavelength allocation (DWA) and prediction-based fair excessive bandwidth allocation (PFEBA) which is our previous work. The DWA can operate in coordination with an unstable degree list of PFEBA to allocate the available time slots of wavelength precisely. Simulation results show the evaluation of ONU buffer size for the proposed PFWBA scheme in terms of average packet delay, jitter performance and average packet loss ratio.
