Abstract :
In this paper, a low complexity joint spreading and inverse fast Fourier transform (S-IFFT) processing for multicarrier code-division multiple access (MC-CDMA) is introduced. Using the orthogonality transformation property of IFFT, the frequency domain spreading is applied during the IFFT processing for complexity reduction. Moreover, we propose a class of low complexity architecture for the uplink MC-CDMA transmitter according to several storage requirements. Comparison with the conventional MC-CDMA transmitter system shows that the proposed architecture can save a larger amount of computation. The proposed scheme is therefore suitable for efficient implementation of a MC-CDMA transmitter.
