Abstract :
A certain method for the direct coupling of electrical circuits and two-dimensional finite element calculations is used for the transient analysis of a complete drive system in the time-domain. Thereby, a novel and deeper insight into the invoked harmonic spectrum of the electrical stator current and the mechanical torque at the rotating shaft could be achieved
