Abstract
This paper presents a novel digital charge control method for DC-DC converters. The analog controller is replaced by the digital controller, which contains a programmed DSP. In the DSP control program, the switching cycle is divided into some equal time slices. Products of the electrical current and the time of each slices is added up one by one. The result is the charge number, which is the controlled parameter. The estimating technique is applied in the program and the defect of duty-cycle jumping, which may occur in the digital control, is eliminated. Experimental results confirm that the novel charge control method can be used for DC-DC converters
