  • Abstract
    This paper firstly has systemically discussed on the concept and theory of urban fabric; Secondly This paper discussed the basic principles of applying GIS (Geographic-Information-System) and MAS (Multi-Agent-System) technologies in the research of urban fabric; Lastly Wuchang District of Wuhan City has been studied as an example in this paper, Based on GIS technology, urban fabric characteristics and indicators was computed and analysed to obtain the cognitive and interpretation of the status of an urban fabric.
