  • Abstract
In ubiquitous environments, users want to get a variety of services using only their individual mobile devices, but their devices usually have limited resources. Many resources in ubiquitous environments can be available and users want to share such resources. Therefore, resource sharing in a ubiquitous space and its efficient processing is one of the new research topics. However, the users´ situations and preferences are different even if users are in the same environment. Therefore, we want to have a proper recommender system for sharing the available resources. In this paper, we propose a resource recommender system for solving the resource limitation problem of personal mobile devices by sharing various nearby resources. Our system uses ontology-based reasoning and rule-based reasoning for the recommendation. We test our situation-based recommender system by using the test scenario.
