            Abstract :
Multistatic radar is an emerging concept which offers a variety of potential gains in target information. The availability of multiple down-range information from different target perspectives have significant potential for improved overall resolution when this data is fused, since monostatic radars typically have a significantly worse crossrange resolution in comparison to down-range resolution. In this paper the concept of monostatic and bistatic radar resolution is reviewed, before we examine how this concept changes when we consider the output of a multistatic radar system. We then investigate what methods might be used during fusion to provide improved resolution. We conclude by demonstrating these multistatic methods using a radar system designed and built at UCL.
