Abstract :
A collection of slides is given discussing the VEER project. The VEER project started as small scale nationally funded feasibility study looking at satellite based system for ITS systems, specifically road user charging. It is designed to cooperate with future GALILEO, providing a communications component plus authentication and GPS assistance services. VEER project looks at how a satellite comms system can fit within an end to end RUC system. It has potential synergy with emerging mobile satellite TV services (DVB-SH).
