Abstract :
In this paper, the impact of mobility on the link and route lifetimes is considered to explain the performance of route maintenance of MANET. The results show that on common velocity, mobility does not too contribute to the networks routing performance degradation, while on higher mobile velocity, an active mobility could cause routing performance degradation, apparently. Finally, we prove that increasing transmission rate can solve effectively the problem of routing performance degradation, resulting from volatile topology.
